Its Friday again and we have another Instgram feature for you. This week we are featuring Expectant mama @hollyandjenson – Holly is a Local mummy to me. I’ve been following her for a while now.
What I first loved about her feed is her super sense of style. It shines through her feed and her gorgeous family are clearly very trendy too!
You will find lots of yummy pics of Jenson, Flowers, and Holly & her partners stunning home they built together.
We can’t wait to see that new bubba of yours too!
Hi, my name is Holly, I’m 26, girlfriend to Ben, mummy to Jenson (11 months), Beau (due any day now), and step mum to Jude (8). We live in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
Before becoming a mum I studied interior design in London. Ben is a lighting designer and building contractor. So together we decided to use our skills and design and build our own home.
In the last year our lives have drastically changed (for the better) as after giving birth to Jenson, within 8 weeks I fell pregnant again, so I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever! Beau is due any day, and we are so excited, although very aware that we are going to have our work cut out!
What is a regular day like for you?
This is going to change when beau arrives . But currently Jenson wakes about 7 and comes into our room. We play and watch cartoons until about 8 then he has his breakfast. He then naps for an hour and a half. This is when I get my housework done and have time to get showered etc. We usually go to my mums for lunch most days she only lives 10 minutes away. In the afternoons a few days a week we go to see other friends with babies. Then it’s time for another nap. I then prepare dinner, get Jenson bathed then he goes to bed at 7. In the evenings I rarely do anything. Although now summer is around the corner, I’m sure we will be entertaining more. I always find I become a bit of a recluse in the winter.
Where do you love to eat?
For a delicious lunch I love going to Darsham Nurseries, the setting is so pretty and the food is fab and not like anything else around here. For a Sunday lunch I love the Dennington Queens Head, and for a special meal I love Satis House in Yoxford (the scallops are amazing)
Do you have a favourite shop or online store at the moment?
My favourite shop in Woodbridge is Vanil, a scandi inspired interior retailer. My new favourite online shops are Naked Lunge (I’m a little addicted to their collection of Serax!) and I’ve just discovered Connox which is a German website which stocks every amazing brand you can think of for interiors. For children’s clothes I love Cissy Wears and Scandi Mini.
Where did you last go on holiday?
I haven’t had a hot holiday in 3 years (so depressing, But we are planning a trip to the Maldives in February) my last proper holiday was a skiing holiday in France . We did go for a long weekend to Disneyland Paris this Christmas, but with a 6 month old baby and a 7-year-old, I wouldn’t call it relaxing!
What is your favourite flower?
That’s a hard question, I’d say my favourites are Ranunculus, Peonies and English garden roses.
Who or what inspires you most?
My mum, a cliché I know but she’s the most amazing woman I know.
What is the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
Our house! It took 2 years to build but has been worth the stress as we now live in our dream home.
Whats in your handbag?
How do you like to relax?
Getting into bed early, lighting candles and watching a film. Our bedroom is my favourite room in the house, it’s so serene.
What is your proudest achievement?
Having children. I never expected to be a mum by the time I was 25 and I don’t think any of my friends or family did either. But it has been life changing, for the better. Every day Jenson brings me happiness and makes me proud.
I’m sure you adore Hollys feed as much as I do, head over to have a peek too here!
