Every year on our anniversary we have a present day for the children. They get more excited about this as they got older and enjoy it so much. Our littlest one has been very involved this year and really taken in every bit of the planning, wish lists (he made a big list this time, now he can write!!!) and organising!
This year we are celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary. We try to choose a theme every year and this time there was a unanimous decision to have a woodland theme. I loved this one as it let me get a little creative. I made a cake i’d never made before too, salted caramel madeira with buttercream and caramel drip! I’m salivating just talking about it again!!!! I found the perfect cake recipe from the wonderful Whisk and wonder. I tweaked a few ingredients to make it salted caramel.
// I made a natural garland from foliage I cut from the garden and some brown paper leaves //
// Salted Caramel drip cake // Birch base from Ebay //
They were pretty desperate but his point!
This is such a fun one, if you haven’t tried virtual reality goggles yet, you need to!!!!
Gift vouchers for Stargazing ceramics (these were top of their lists!!)
After we had eaten far too much, played with all the gifts and watched too much tv, we ventured out for a walk. The weather didn’t disappoint on this occasion. The sky was on fire!
I had a wonderful surprise through my door too, from the ever so lovely Bloom and wild flower delivery service, this gorgeous bouquet just for me!!
xx Thank you so much for stopping by xx
