Our Bathroom renovation

First steps for me were getting inspiration, its how I begin my creative sessions pretty much all the time! I’ve taken loads from Pinterest, instagram and online shops. I started putting pen to paper and got some designs down. We have a very small space so I really needed to work hard to fit in everything and still have room to manoeuvre! We’ve never had a shower either so now the children are a little older it was time to try and add one into the space. I wasn’t going to be giving up my bath though so that was being squeezed into the plans too!

You know when you start something you never anticipate everything that may crop up or need doing?…..yep thats me!

We really knew it was going to be a high end finish as it was pretty dismal before so we decided to get it all done whilst we had the bathroom clear. New plaster, new lighting, raising the floor and lastly my favourite bit, underfloor heating!!

I didn’t want run of the mill white on white anymore so the hunt for a high end retailer with affordable products that kept in with the theme of our house was a must. I did a lot of searching!!

I think one of most exciting partsĀ of this project was going to be the floor as it would just tie it all together and complete the look. I looked at a few tiling companies but I came back to Avoda Stein, an online Tiling, Interiors & Lifestyle store. Their range of floor tiles were just beautiful, not like anywhere I had seen before.

It was hard to pick just one but after a consultation these guys really helped us to decide the look we wanted and would achieve a stunning finish. They are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to trends, the Pinterest worthy bathroom design, and quality of finish. Something I have found hard when talking to other companies in this field. I am definitely one to show somebody a picture off social media and say ” can you do this ”!! Most people look at me like I have two heads!! Fortunately for me not this time!! There was nothing they couldn’t do.

So many of you have asked about the progress so here are the before/after pictures ( look theres no sugar coating it, its rank!!) **Most pics are my phone so the quality aren’t great sorry, will get my camera in there soon!
